You can change it up. We have a dining room open to the living room and have two completely different rugs. The easy way would be to find something with similar colors, but a different style. Or, if you are lucky enough to find the same rug, go for that. Its really just depending on your taste.Helpful Reply -

A lot depends on what you see when you enter the house. If you mostly see both rooms at the same time or if they still look like separate rooms. Did you match paint colors, flooring, and furniture? It only matters that it is your house, your vision, and your personal style. Do what makes you happy.Helpful Reply -
