How can I store my tea pot collection?
I collect tea pots and I have alot of them but I don't want to get rid of them and hate to put them in storage. What can I do with them so they don't take up so much space but I can still display them somehow?

Put some away and display the others. Rotate them periodically so your display is always fresh. Too many items takes away from each.
anchor the lids onto the puts using 'Museum Wax' and hang from their handles on a painted/decorated piece of framed peg board.
Do you have room on top your cabinets next to the ceiling? I put my cookie jar collection there. Also, some people put plates on a free standing shelf along the ceiling in their dining room, do you have room or a wall to put a room length shelf or two? Also, a hutch and other forms of furniture are good for displaying dishes such as tea pots. A friend of mine had her husband make a built in cupboard all along her dining room wall with glass sliding doors for her collection of various dishes and rolling pins. Hope this gives you some ideas Tasha. A teapot collection sounds wonderful, especially since I have my grandmother's old tea pot. You are inspiring!
I was on the same thought as DesertRose...........
Put them on the top of your kitchen cabinets. Alter them so they are at different heights. I have a lot of old items from my mom and grandmother that I have arranged, and it looks great. If your dining room table is big enough, get a slab of wood, drape with a lace cloth and arrange some on it. Put a few flowers in some, cock the tops against the pots on some and just use your imagination with other spring and summer items. If you have a beautiful collection..... never store them away. What's the point in collecting them? I hope you can find somewhere for them......... I know they are beautiful!!! Just have fun!!!
I once had a kitchen where there were soffits above the cabinets. My husband built a U-shaped shelf at the same level as the soffits to carry the line all the way around the room. Then I painted the soffets, shelf, and the space behind the shelf a soft white. I lined the shelf with thin vinyl shelf paper just to make dusting easier. It was a great way for me to have my teapots on display. The shelf also worked well for other rarely used things like old tea tins. I also hung a garland of strung candy and popcorn along the shelf at Christmas. You could add hooks to the underside and display a collection of tea cups.
Mother collected tea pots so we kids went together one Christmas and gave her a curio cabinet. She proudly displayed her tea pots there and we able to supply her with more when we found pretty ones.
