Aluminum siding and garden art

Teddie Simpson on Mar 25, 2015I too, want to hang something outside on my siding. I just googled the question and found there are hooks sold for this. Found them on the HomeDepot website but I can't quite figure out how to use them.Helpful Reply

Terry Sparks on Mar 25, 2015If the object isn't to heavy I'd consider using some silicone sealer, such as bath tub caulking. It will hold lighter objects and you can peel it off with just a little effort when you take down your art. Other ideas would be to hang your art using thin wire, from the eaves or putting up a trellis and hanging your art on that.Helpful Reply

Terry Sparks on Mar 25, 2015I forgot to mention in my post above, removing the caulk when you take down your art is simple, use a hair dryer to heat it up and then use a utility razor to remove it.Helpful Reply

Teresa Harris on Mar 27, 2015I have used the hooks I got mine online. It slides between the siding and you just hook the item on it. I put one of those Large Texas Rings with a star in it made of metal. I paint the backside so it might not rust runs. Its been up over a year all is OK.Helpful Reply
