How can I modify dollar store pathway lights so that i can use my garden hose freely with out worrying about knocking them over or pulling them out? Im tired of knocking over my path way lights when i stretch my hose all over the yard. I've been trying to think of a practical solution to the problem like some sort of modification like a ramp in a sense so the hose can slide up and over each pathway light. I havent quite thought of anything that apealing and practical i was wondering if anyone else had this problem and hoping somebody has a good solution. Thanks for time snd thoughts on this one.
This is the first REAL back yard ive had in basixally my whole life landscaping and gardening has consumed all my free time and i absolutly love it. Eveything from the stones snd bricks to the out door pallete made furniture ive collected from around my town for free. Rhe only thing ive psid for are these 100 or so dollar store lights. The best things in life are free. These darn light are so nice at night but drive me crazy in the day. Thanks again!

You can buy or make hose guides. These are stakes in the ground that guides your hose "around" instead of "over" plants or objects. I had these before we pug in a sprinkler system. They come in all sorts of designs and prices.

When our house was built, the faucet is at the corner of the house. I am going to have hubs and son make me one of these (found it on HomeTalk).

We had a problem child little garden around our yard light because it is on a hill. My hubby made a raised garden with 4x4's. He wanted to put four around it to give the little garden a little pizzazz. We wanted to have them so they wouldn't get hurt by the mower, edger or the dogs lead when they ae out front. He drilled holes in the 4x4's and set them into the wood. Perhaps something like that would work for at least some of them. Another thing that came to mind would be some kind of pipe that you could use to guide the hose away from the lights in the areas that are the worst. Sink them in the ground so that the hose hits that and not the lights. If you have a longer hose or hoses, you could reach further and only have to come close to the lights in certain areas. I hope this helps you some think of ways to keep your lights safe, Charlie!
