How can I protect my wonderful shade garden from the sun?

Lost my beautiful ash tree to emerald ash bore disease.

This is unfortunate but the garden will probably adjust to the added light....I had a similar occurrence when a storm wiped out one of my crabapple trees. My only suggestion would be to increase the moisture to the area during hottest weather.
