Have you thought about planting them in buckets or 5gallon pails. Like tomatoes, peppers, even potatoes. You can plant about anything in buckets. Doesn't take up much room at all. -

The best place to begin is by measuring the space and putting everything on graph paper to come up with a plan. The plan will depend on what sort of garden you want. If there is a fence, that's a great place to start by creating a garden of flowers against it. For a vegetable garden, you will need to figure out where it will get the most sunlight and still be close enough to be able to water easily. good luck -

I have only a small space so I tend to use plantar boxes. If yours is a garden, then I would take a look at where there is the most sun, and the least. Plan out which flowers/plants would fit best by the sun. Like, Hosta and other shade loving plants where the sun hits less, and then look for plants that love the sun. Look for drainage as well or add some in areas where water pools. If you have a particularly damp area, that would be a good spot for a pond or rock garden, this raises it up so that the water can drain. Dry areas, look for plants that need little water. Most garden centres can advise you on this. I always planted in a way that there was always something in bloom. Like, Spring flowers that come up early, and then along with them others that come up a little later on. For a fast show of colour, you can add annuals that bloom faster. The idea is to have one thing blooming, which covers up the impending end of the last. That takes your eye away from any areas that look dead or dying...and to the colour. -

I like fiber grow containers. I have a hanging one with four pockets and a standard pot sized one to use for potatoes. First saw these used on gardening shows. They are cheap, versatile for any vegetable or flowers. Perhaps describe your setting. Do you have shade? How much space? Do you have a deck or patio? What is there now, bushes, trees? What do you want - vegetables, shrubbery, perennials, a cutting garden? -
