7218805 on Sep 11, 2016If it's a concrete one, a good scraping of the old paint, perhaps some filling with new concrete, then an environmentally safe paint. There are many on the market today.Helpful Reply

Nancy Hamilton on Sep 11, 2016You will have to put a waterproof sealer on it. Remove it from the outside, & make sure it completely dries. NOTE: Tape off all entry's & exits of water fountain, so flakes, paint, & sealer don't get into them. Remove all of the old paint. If you have an air compressor, blow all loose flakes off, & spray with desired color. 3 coats is good. After this, use something like Helmsmann outdoor sealer, to completely coat entire surface. Use 3, or 4 coats. It must dry for a toatl of 4 days, & then another day or 2, for all the toxins to be released. Put your water fountain back.Helpful Reply
