My concrete bench needs to be freshened up. I'd like to stain it to highlight the raised design on the base. What is the best way?
U can get concrete paint and use a pump sprayer to dress it up then after it is dry use a sealer on top. A pair of cleats works best when using this type of DIY bc it prevents any type of foot prints.
With 3 separate concrete pours, stain may not "take" the same on each slab. Then you will be in the same spot, 3 slabs, 3 different colors even though you used the same stain. I wouldgo with paint. Powerwash, prime and paint with a concrete formula.
I would Prime the surfaces with concrete primer and paint. Otherwise removing old paint would require stripper or graffiti remover and a wire brush. I have done both. Stopping concrete is tedious work but done correctly and it can be beautiful
You can concrete paint the area; tile if level? - small pebble mix glued over & seal? Just some suggestions love. 😇😀😇
Clean & sand first.
