Using acrylic paint on cut wood

I have some laser cut wood and I will use acrylic paint,,,shall I use primer before paint and is there any additional things I should use after paint?

No you don't need to prime. I would thin out the first coat of the paint with half water and half paint and then the second coat should be all paint.

I do a lot of crafts with acrylic paint on laser cut items. Personally, I prefer to prime the items. Spray primer works well and dries quickly so that you can get down to business with your crafting. I hope that my trial and error helps.

My avocation is crafting new items from old; mostly wood. Normally I use primer after sanding. It presents a good finish whether you are using just paint, or wax, or other media.
