I have my old dining room table and wanted to weatherized it to use out doors. Maybe place tile on the top or something?

Depending how big the table is you can maybe use it for a potting bench if you do a lot of gardening.

I think you are looking to keep it as a table, if so, since it is wood, you can certainly add tile to the top but before you do anything like that you will probably need to get something like deck sealer, or some sort of polyurethane meant for outdoor use and put it on the entire table first. Even if you add tile to the top you should seal the wood under it first or it could rot. Even a boat sealer would work. That is of course unless it will be under a covered porch where it couldn't get rained or snowed on, then you would be ok.

If you wanted to keep it wood, could you maybe use the Restore product that they use on decks? LOL! Just saw the above post! We are brilliant! :)

I would think twice about your decision because outdoor furniture is made from treated timber or hardwood timber the chance of your indoor table being made from a wood that can with stand out door conditions is quite low. I would discuss your choice with your local hardware store to determine if there is a product that can seal it to a very high standard, otherwise you may find your table only last a very short time and it may be more cost effective to sell the table as it is and buy an outdoor table.

Think I would use outdoor primer and a couple of coats of outdoor paint. Try to elevate the legs so they are not right on the concrete surface. Have a bench and a small chest outside.
