Staining over painted kitchen cabinets
I would like to my kitchen cabinets but they are painted white I would like to know if I have to sand all the paint off first.

yes use a stripper I used 3M brand and then sand until they are smooth as a baby bottom stain and varnish will take a little time but is well worth it .... :)

Yep. Use a paint stripper and then sand off any little bits that remain. It will be time-consuming, but that's the only way to get the paint completely removed.
