I believe it needs to be the actual steel wool pad, not Brillo. I believe Brillo has soap in them, so that could cause different result when mixed with vinegar
Not sure you can use a Brillo pad it has cleaning soap.
Don't use a Brillo pad. You need to use plain steel wool from the hardware store.
