Can I paint the trim and knobs on my electric cooktop?

I am changing appliance colors and would like to paint the trim around the cooktop. What paint would be best for this application?

If you are painting anything around a heat source, just make sure it's 'high heat' paint. You can use appliance paint or any heat resistance paint. My experience with doing this is you have to be careful with the finish even after roughing up the metal surface. Good luck. -

If you can remove them, you can use spray paint - Rustoleum makes a good paint for metal, if they are metal. -
