Hi Jen. I'm Cindy. Begin with a clean surface. Hang the shades outside or in your garage. Garage would be best so that you can hang the shades up high. Use a spray gun if you have one, or spray paint cans. Begin with a very light coat of the paint on both sides. Allow to dry, an hour or more would be best. Continue with very light coats until completely covered. Let dry overnight. Then hang back in their windows. Good luck.
