Use chalk paint with a little extra “chalk” added, like Epsom salts, plaster, borax OR sand. Chalk paint is in every paint dept. these days, Jeannie, or you can make your own. Add one of the “chalky” materials listed above to latex or acrylic paint in equal amounts. Stir thoroughly and often. Paint some of your mix on a spare board and let it dry. Then decide if it has enough texture for your taste. Prime your walls if they have been dark or wallpapered before. Or take a try with one coat, but keep your paint can if you need to match colors. If you like shine and texture, you will want to buy semi-gloss or gloss paint. One gallon will go a long way in a mobile home. Best wishes, Jeannie, and be sure to post on Hometalk! ☺️
