Do you think it would make my small condo seem bigger? Or is it a bad idea?

I painted my living room walls and ceiling the same color and loved it. Just be sure to go with a light and airy color. It was a trend about five years ago, designers are still using this idea. Good Luck

Absolutely. You need to google Nashville Flipped. Troy does this in almost all of his bedrooms and it is stunning and creates the illusion of a larger open space. And he doesn't always use light colors. He did a gray/blue bedroom with a vaulted ceiling and it was AWESOME! No crown molding either, that will stop the eye right at the molding. Your Home, Your Rules! It's only paint. Have fun & best of luck.

It's a great idea. Yes, yes and yes!

  • Depends on what color you plan on painting? A bright light color, yes. A dark color will make it closed in and cozy bt also cave like depending on lighting.

I have done this with light colors in bedrooms and really liked the look. In recent yrs we have gone back to a ceiling white . The room is brighter in evening hours when lighting is required and you can use a little darker wall color.

I did it in a bathroom with a medium baige color. Love it, it is calming and the bathroom is not large.
