I tend to use leftover latex wall paint for chairs and other furniture. How is this different from paint made for furniture?

Lots of people use latex paint for furniture, including me! I know of chalk paints made for furniture that don't require roughing up the surface and priming, but need a wax coat after. I think it just depends on the look you are going for. :)

You can use latex enamel for furniture- left over trim paint. You really don't want flat paint as it cannot be scrubbed.

Latex wall paint doesn't hold up to frequent cleaning/washing
