I always paint the ceiling first, otherwise you might drip paint on your freshly painted walls. Plus it is generally the hardest part of the job so it is good to have it done! :-)

Ceiling first! Continue the ceiling paint an inch or so down the wall. Then cut in your walls! Good luck!
