How do you paint a mirror that has good plastic trim around it?

Spray paint with one made for plastic or hand paint with oil based paint.
I would try to remove the mirror first, just to make it easier to paint. Depending on the finish you want to achieve you can spray paint or dry brush or antique the finish. Using painter's tape, cover the mirror with newspaper if you cannot remove it.
