Bane clene has a floor finish that is so good it's hard to scratch it. I saw it applied to a floor and 30 minutes later you could not scratch the finish with a scouring pad. They have several colors and I'm sure this would work great. I'm going to use it on my cabinets also.
If you plan to prep, cut, or place any food directly on it, I would use plain old mineral oil. It seals and protects and is food safe. You can put on a healthy coat with a rag, let it sit for 2 days and use it after. Recoat it when it looks like it needs it, and it's very cheap and easy. I googled this over a year ago and that was the answer I found.
