What is the best poly to use for refinishing

  • You should definitely look for one that states ""non-yellowing". There are so many brands and the ease of application is a personal preference.

    Oil based will stand up better to freeze and grime. Takes longer to dry but well worth the wait.

    A least three coats of a water based polyurethane. Lightly sand in between coats. Oil based poly will yellow over time.
