I want to paint my kitchen cabinets. What kind of paint should I use ?

My cabinets had a lot of shellac I lightly sanded primer then I used melamine paint so it would stickthey turned out fantastic

I would use a good quality latex semi-gloss or satin for kitchen cabinets. I prefer either Sherwin Williams or Benjiman Moore.
