Any color you like. It all depends on how much light you get as to how dark you want to go in color. Personally, I prefer the warmer tones such as Ralph Lauren's Cottonwood!
Go to a home store and look through the little booklets available near the paint swatches. When you see a kitchen you love, find paint swatches in similar colors and take them home. Tape them to a wall and look at them often in various kinds of light, morning, afternoon, and night. Most likely one of them will become your favorite. I've had good success with this method in my bathroom and kitchen.
