I Painted and Stenciled My Ceramic Tile!
Go to your local home improvement store and ask them to show you ceramic paints specifically made for this purpose and give you tips on what else to buy and how to apply.
There are specific paints made for tile. Usually epoxy paints. The tile needs to be very clean and lightly sanded.
Clean well with TSP. Apply a basecoat of Kilz Adhesion Primer. Then paint with the color and finish of your choice. Have fun!
BTW...the above info cane direct from Behr Paint when I asked them how to paint my own tile. Works great!
