Can I paint my popcorn ceiling?

Mr. Clean Magic Erasers clean scuffs well. A durable floor/porch paint would hold up to scuffing better than a wall paint.
Any paint that is washable. Magic eraser works well on painted surfaces.
Have you tried Mr. Clean Magic Erasers? This is what I use on my floors and doors. Good luck!
OUCH! Penelope, My stairway is natural wood with carpeting, so I would not have known how to do that if I hadn't had it in my folder from previous searches.
