Sliding glass door frame ...make like new?

I have a very large sliding glass door that opens to my backyard . It is the length of the family room. Problem is the frame has seen much better days ! I am redoing the family room so this is making it worse. It is typical 1990 Bronze tone . I appreciate any and all ideas ........thank you

You can clean the frame with a good household cleaner. Tape off the surrounding area around the frame with newspaper and blue painters tape, Spray paint the frame with a metallic paint of your choice. Spray several light coats of paint for smooth even coverage.

I recently painted mine. I cleaned it, lighlty sanded, cleaned again and then painted it. I did't use spray paint. I did use a paint made for metal. I painted mine black and I love it.
