Krylon spray paint works great on plastic. There are others that do as well.
I am a painter. I would
1). Rough sand the cabinets.
2). Paint them with a primer.
3). Apply 1 coat of paint.
4). use a light sanding paper TO smooth brush marks.
5). Apply your 2nd final coat.
6). To help chipping/peeling, I would apply a Satin
(or whatever you like) clear coat. It's worth the extra step.
Apply the clear coat in 1 direction, don't apply on a back and forth motion, like with paint. Let it dry a few hours before you apply a 2nd coat. It well worth the effort! 😊

Walmart sells spray paint that is made for painting plastic. You will need to remove the doors if you can to use spray type. They MIGHT have brush on type but I never looked for it as I was always able to use spray type
