How can I keep Burner covers from rusting?

I have some electric stove burner covers that look and feel like cast
iron. How can I keep them from rusting? This is my second set.

You can try coating it in an oil and baking it in an oven for an hour at 450. Recoat with oil and bake 2 more times. This will provide a protective barrier to prevent future rust. God luck! -

Buy yourself a modern stove and oven.........I had a hard time gettin' use to mine, but now I realize all that work? For what, it continues and never stops......work is not my thing anymore......I wanna play!!! -

After each time that you heat them up, apply a light coat of oil, like you would to any cast iron cookware, that's after you re-season them like Shoshana said.
