Gas oven won't heat properly

Our gas oven won't heat above 340 degrees. The gas also makes chugging sounds. The stove top works fine. Any ideas?

Clean out the gas jets yourself or call in a Gas cooker repair man -

Helen...this may be harsh but I would seriously consider a new one. Gas is NOT something to play around with. Besides being a major fire hazard you risk CO2 poisoning. It's just not worth it -

my old stove would have issues heating up. the thermostat was broken, i just used the portable oven thermomiter and kept an eye on it. when it hit the temp i needed, in went the food. -
