How do I fix my "leaky" toilet?

My toilet sounds like it has a leak, but i cannot find it. I have adusted the float, changed out the flapper, checked over the tower, and tightened everything that can be tightened. Now What? Any advice is welcome. My husband is not an able assistant . He barely knows a philips from a flat screw driver.

If we are, I've done my time (46 years) it's your turn now! No, you don't need to send your husband in exchange. I've had enough.

Call a plumber and see if they give FREE ESTIMATES you don't have to pay them but they can give you an idea, "unless its something you already have done" you might have to get a plumber..Do you have a neighbor/friend/ family member that knows something about plumbing? Always ask about free estimates first....Have you gone on line you can email This old house and ask them...I've done it many times, even a local show here in Danny Lipford...
