Can the a Large Plantation Shutters be cut down to a size,if so how??

I have to Large Plantation window shutters approx 52" Length I like to have them cut to 2 different sizes to get a 72" Length, is this possible?

    I guess it is if you drill and dowel fix the sides. You might also want to brace the joint at the back for extra support. Make sure you use the right ends together........

    It can certainly be done. Find a handyman who has the appropriate tools and he'll also know how to brace the backs of the two pieces so they are sturdy when placed back on the house.

    Yes, you can do this. Knowing that you need an additional 20 inches to make the desired length, find the best area on the second shutter and cut it out. You can attach the two pieces together using "L" brackets.
