i built a retaining wall 16 inches high (2 cinder blocks) andit continues to lean, We live in Nova Scotia, where the cold winter plays with everything. Does anyone have a solution, other than a concrete footer?

Straighten them up and perhaps sink rebar to stabilize the blocks.

    Jim,

The long term success of your wall, even only 2 blocks high starts with drainage. Did you back fill with gravel and do you have weep holes for water to drain out? if not, the soil will continue to push on the wall.

Hi Jim, rebar should help hold them in place, but still allow movement from frost and thaw
