you can rent a steamer from home depot (or most tool rental places) that is made specifically for removing wallpaper. cost is reasonable. i have used it and does take patience but quicker than just soaking by spraying with water. i've done both and the steamer is the way to go
I haven't tried the steamer but it has to be better than the spray bottle which I did do. Be prepared to clean shiplap even after you remove paper. Again, I haven't used a steamer so I don't know if it removes the glue or not but a spray bottle doesn't. You have to clean that off to before you do anything else if you want a nice end finish.
