I'm guessing that you trapped some bubbles when laying down the veneer. Do you have a rubber roller or possibly a rolling pin from the kitchen. You're going to need to coax the bubbles from the middle of the pie towards the edges. But if some time has passed, but not too much, you might need to warm up the glue if it hasn't completely cured. A hair dryer on high or using a thick pressing cloth and a dry iron on low may heat up the glue and with the aid of the roller could coax the bubbles to an outer edge of the piece out. Good luck!
Kate, This isn't the best way, but stick a pin in just to break the surface. Some of my home talk team, will address this problem. Aloha!
