I purchased a kit at NAPA (I'm guessing most auto stores carry it) called Permatex. It is used for both leather and vinyl repair. It comes with a variety of colors. It worked great on my bar stools.
Similar kits are also available at big box stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. Sorry, but I do not remember what brand I used.
