What should I do about a burn mark on my counter?

I burnt a round circle on my counter top from a hot pot. I rent. HELP!

Crush some aspirin and add just a little water to make a paste. Spread it over the burn and let it stand for at least half an hour then wipe with green scrubby. I bought my house and there was a burn which was about 13 " and it worked for me.
If all else fails, ask landlord if you could recover it and either paint it [ you can search here for directions} Or do the cement covering. Also you can search here for that.
Your renter's insurance will replace the damaged countertop.
