What is the counter is the counter made off? ***** http://www.howtocleanstuff.net/how-to-remove-burn-marks-from-countertops/ ***** http://removeandreplace.com/2013/10/16/fix-remove-laminate-countertop-burns-scratches/ ***** Sand the burnt area and mixed matching Epoxy glue and acrylic paints. Built these layers up slowly about 4-5 for the paint to reach the same indention height as the burn. Each coating is applied just to the burnt area wiping the area around it with a wash rag. As it dries rub across the burn carefully to smooth out the paint. After 4-5 layers or when it looked right let it dry overnight. If there are any raised areas scrape off with a putty knife carefully. The next day seal it with a sealer and it is completely unnoticeable!
Crush some aspirin and add just a little water to make a paste. Spread it over the burn and let it stand for at least half an hour then wipe with green scrubby. I bought my house and there was a burn which was about 13 " and it worked for me.
If all else fails, ask landlord if you could recover it and either paint it [ you can search here for directions} Or do the cement covering. Also you can search here for that.
