I have an old Singer petal sewing machine, the wood cabinet is falling

    I have one that was my grandmothers. The cabinet wasn't in very good condition, so I saved the drawers (used one on the wall for a shelf, and another on top of the toilet for towels, etc.) My brother removed the cabinet and finished an oak top and made it into a table. I love it !

    Remove the wood cabinet and add a top to the metal sides. Old windows, old cabinet doors, butcher block or just about anything. Use your imagination and resources. Jay

    I live in Lima, Peru and love recycling. The picture I am attaching is my most recent find. I hope this idea helps you. I got this sewing machine base in a junk yard! painted it and topped with an old window I had from the demolition of my old house, over it I screwed a 6mm glass. How do you like it? Bye, Edith

    Yes, please post pics. We can imagine all sorts of images of the sewing machine....but without them, it's a bit difficult to assist.
