This will sound crazy but we purchased strapping that had a buckle. They are actually intended for use to hold pieces of wood together while glue is drying. Home Depot or Lowe's should carry them. Any strap with buckle that can be tightened would do. Add several across the span and see if it helps. Over time the springs will sag. If the strapping sags over time, you can tighten it at the buckle.
