Try wetting it with Goo Gone. Should soften it up enough you may be able to peel it off or use something plastic like a credit card to scrape it off.
You can try dampening a cotton make up pad with a bit of rubbing alcohol. When soft enough carefully scrape the leather with an old plastic gift card, so not to damage the wood.
Have you tried to heat it with a blow dryer and use a plastic putty knife to scrape it off?
Try mixing some baking soda with vegetable oil then rub on the spot. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes till soft and scrape off with a plastic credit card.
You're most welcome. I hope that helps!
