Mounting drawer glides on the wall

I made a pull out canned food organizer that slides in between my fridge & the wall. It's made out of 1 x 4's so its not real secure if it's pulled all the way out. I want to attach it to the wall using drawer slides. Has anyone done something like this? If so, how did you mount them?

I have not done this myself, however there was a post on here not to long ago. They were organizing there closet. So it can be done.

If I remember right, the closet organizing project used crates with two drawer slides attached, near the top and bottom of the crate on one side, then the matching part of the slides on the wall. The closet project had three or four crates against one wall. You have to be very precise in measuring and placement. Without solid plywood on the refrigerator side with a drawer slide, would one slide per 1X4 be strong enough to hold cans on the board?

Make sure the slides you get are heavy duty. They have them for upwards of 50 or 75 pounds at Lowe's and they're not too expensive. Here, at least, the folks that work in Lowe's can usually answer any such questions.
