Anna M.S. on Jan 30, 2016If I remember right, the closet organizing project used crates with two drawer slides attached, near the top and bottom of the crate on one side, then the matching part of the slides on the wall. The closet project had three or four crates against one wall. You have to be very precise in measuring and placement. Without solid plywood on the refrigerator side with a drawer slide, would one slide per 1X4 be strong enough to hold cans on the board?Helpful Reply

Gina Scott Roberts on Jan 30, 2016Make sure the slides you get are heavy duty. They have them for upwards of 50 or 75 pounds at Lowe's and they're not too expensive. Here, at least, the folks that work in Lowe's can usually answer any such questions.Helpful Reply
