I recently purchased a house. The oak Cupboards are split in the centre - down the middle (Up and down direction)or on one just off centre. Not sure if they are dried out.???? Would like to fix them if possible.
Well, if you fill the cracks with wood putty, in a color that matches the wood, then put a clear finish over it all, that could buy some time and peace of mind. Or fill the crack with wood putty and paint all the cabinets (not with chalk paint). You could have a cabinet maker out to look at them and see of that panel could be repaired or replaced.
