Hello. You can purchase wall anchors. You would put this in the hole and then put your screw in. Good Luck!
Well you need too create a shim. You didn't say how large of a screw. But for example : If it's a hinge screw on cabinets stick a toothpick in hole & than insert screw. If that not enough grip add more of the tooth pick. Break off what is left. Create something for teeth to grip to . Again you didn't say what size or type of screw
