How to repair concrete ramp to my garage?

Afternoon, I would like to found out what to do with my concrete ramp into the garage as the concrete is busy breaking up as I think not enough cement was used in the mixture. If you have some ideas of fixing it and what to do to stop the concrete from breaking up it will help. I was thinking of laying tiles or using tar to cure it. Thank you

You may find that you should install another layer of concrete over the base. There are quick concrete products available for this purpose. Be sure to put concrete bonding liquid over the base before applying another coat of concrete. This makes the top layer adhere to the bottom layer better. I would not use the tar as you will get an awful mess.

A Friend of ours reconstructed his wood ramp, he used 2 x 4's and then put a Trex type product for the surface. Shop around as this can get pricey!!!
We also beefed up our back deck as the wood was warped, the prior owners used 1/4 " plywood & it became very hazardous, so we beefed up the beams as they were about 18-20" apart, then we went to Home Depot and got the Trex, we love it!!!
What may have happened to your ramp is that they may have forgotten or didn't put any rebar in for strength, you may want to check it out.
Hope this helps
