How can I remove paint outside from brick?

The paint is over 30 years old and it is in various spots around my house on the brick. I need a clean and quick way to remove the paint.

Wire brush, Motsenberger Lift Off , Goof Off graffiti remover, Peel Away. If all else fails I purchased a sample sized jar of brick red paint in a matte finish. I touched up over the white paint of the past owner drips of white paint with a small brush. Home Depot and Lowes will color match any paint you want.

try a power washer. knock off the loose paint. let dry. repeat. scraping the paint off of brick is not so fun.

    Hi, Amy,

Citri Strip liquid works wonders on old paint atop brick! It's available at hardware stores and on the web.

Rent a sandblaster, follow instructions, can remove paint, other imperfections, but be careful, you may get hooked on doing the rest... good luck... using solvents May permanently stain your brick or masonry..

I agree a power washer should do a good job.

I agree that a sandblaster is the way to go. That's what popped into my mind also.
