Cannot get the water level up in bowl. My husband said I must have distrubed something in the tank? I poured a bucket of water in the bowl,, but the water level still will not come up?
Did you shut the water off and flush the toilet before you cleaned the tank? After you cleaned the tank did you turn the water back on? Did the tank fill back up? Check that the tank is full and if it is flush and see if the bowl fills. If not you may have disturbed something in the tank.
Pour water in the TANK part up to the full level marked, flush toilet, the fill toilet to it's usual level if that didn't happen after the flush. It should work, but it may be a component in the tank (like the float or float arm )has quit functioning due to age.
The water level in a toilet tank is controlled by the arm deally that has a float at the end of it. These contraptions must be adjusted to shut the water off at just the right level. Obvey you knocked some adjustment loose when you "cleaned" your tank. Just re-adjust it and you'll be good to go. I'm puzzled as to why you cleaned the inside of your toilet tank. The water in there is always clean, although not to drink. I'm jus sayin...
Another job for hubby. I will have to have him buy a float. The water was shut off when I cleaned it. Thank you for your time. Shopping t omarrow, will buy
I clean the tank at least once a year, swirling the brush around lightly. We have hard well water, but have a water conditioner. Watched a video where the bolts were rusted out inside the tank, and how the new bolts are put in. Pain in the butt. Thank you
I wasn't sure how old your toilet was. I thought it was probably the float, but the tanks in the house we just bought have a totally new (to me) type of float. Good luck and happy shopping.
We remolded our bathroom about 6 years ago. I am going to go throw everyone suggestions. Thank you for your time
