I would expect the thing to drain as quickly as any other tub in the house assuming pipe sizes are equal etc.
Is the drain vented properly? Does the toilet and/or sink in that basement bath drain slowly as well?
This does wonders for a slow drain, but you may need to do it more than once if the clog is bad. So cheap and environmentally safe too!
Ingredients Needed:
– Vinegar
– Baking Soda

Why this works: The baking soda and vinegar will loosen up any grimy sludge that’s hanging out at the bottom of your drain, and the explosive chemical reaction will jolt it all loose. The final super hot-water rinse will make all the bad stuff go bye-bye
Hello Bobby,
This can be a frequent consideration if you have someone blessed with curly or long hair like we do.
Even though we have an auger, most commonly we find that our drains need to be physically fished out. Either using an unbent hanger as a refashioned hook or plastic barbed tool from the dollar store to explore the drain obstruction.
Fishing out the blockage with that in -our experience— to partially involve hair seems to most readily alleviate stoppage in our faucets and shower drains.
There are some retrofit devices out there and that could be helpful if you get your drain clean consider the little mushroom cap for collecting the hair. There is also a more refined looking chrome for one but if you look at customer reviews and Q&A’s it seems like this mushroom one has a higher review. You may consider having a look at these existing devices to see if that will help the problem from from reoccurring.
