If this is pipes in an unheated area, I would use thermal tape on pipe if you get hard freezes. you can buy insulated wraps to go around any pipes if you live in an area where it gets very cold I would insulate metal and plastic to be on the safe sideHelpful Reply -

is there a type of insulation the comes in a roll like an ace bandage does? my pipes are attached to the rafters with hangers. the foam pipe covers aren't fully covering the pipes with hangers acting as spacersHelpful Reply -
