Leaky Kitchen Sink Faucet- help!

by Roberta Sanders

I'm not talking about a drip from the faucet, but where the swivel parts touches the connecting part; especially if it is swiveled to the right; I had the same problem about 6 months ago and just pushed down on the top of the faucet and it quit until recently. I've tried "pushing" again and it doesn't work. Do I need to call a plumber or what?

Thanks for any assistance.

try cleaning the aerator screen first. Unscrew the end of the faucet where the water comes out. the aerator is probably clogged and the pressure is causing the water to back up to the swivel part.

Excellent advice from Rwi. If your efforts do not work, you would probably be best to replace the faucet if it is an older one that you’ve had for a while.
