Outdoor faucet repair- help! It won't completely shut off!
My outdoor faucet that my garden hose is hope to will not completely shut off. I need to replace the O-ring I think. How do I go about doing that. The faucet itself runs through a longboard on the bottom side of the house.

Dan Hello again, Take a trip to your local hardware, and see if it's the O ring. The people will be glad to help, and you can explain just what's going on. Bring the O ring with you.
That is the most generalized answer I have ever heard. I need to know how to take it apart so I can get to the O-ring. The faucet "Runs through" the floor joist on the side of the house. Removing it will require me to crawl under the house and disconnect if from the water line. Surely I can shut off the main water supply and take apart the faucet and replace the O-Ring? How does the faucet come apart?
