Sterling shower single valve not getting hot water.

It is a single valve, with no pressure sensitivity, just a simple dial. I have a link to the diagram that I could find. I am getting hot water to the sink. I do have some hard water issues, as I have had to replace some toilet flaps due to lime build up. Not sure if this could cause it.

When I turn over to hot, I am getting water, it is just staying cold. I have seen some people online that have said when they turn to hot, they get nothing at all, that is not my case.

Sounds like it probably is related to the mineral buildup. I would try to clear out the hot water line to the shower if you can.

If you are getting hot water to nearby fixtures the problem must be in your mixing valve itself. Many valves have anti scald features. My guess is that the mechanics of this anti scald valve have become defective or jammed up by alkaline build up. Sterling will no doubt offer a replacement valve that can be easily swapped for the defective part.
